LAKOS Separators are commonly used in municipalities as full stream pre-filters separating out the larger, more abundant particles and solids that constantly fill and clog finer filtration processes. LAKOS Separators are installed prior to GAC (granular activated carbon) tanks, clarifiers, and membrane filtration systems. By removing the larger particles these systems can work more efficiently and effectively meeting design specifications.

Harsh/Abrasive Water (Pre) Filtration

LAKOS JSK Scotchkote™ Separators feature an internal 3M™ Scotchkote™ 134 coating making the wetted surfaces of the Separator resistant to corrosive chemicals, wastewater, sea water, and hydrocarbons. The Scotchkote™ 134 coating is NSF/ANSI 61 certified for potable water applications making this an economical alternative providing similar results of 316L and Duplex Stainless Steel.
