Oil Absorbent Sweep

Our oil absorbent sweep is manufactured from 100% melt blown polypropylene with a reinforced edge and rope attached along the whole length for ease of deployment. This high capacity absorbent is ideal for diverting or “pooling” spills.

The oil absorbent sweep is excellent at absorbing oil spills from water and removing any residue and sheen from the water once the bulk of the oil spill has been removed with the use of skimmers and absorbents including booms, pads or cushions.

Use

• Across a stream or river to remove any oil residue from spills.
• Pull over static water to remove rainbow effect.
• For the final polish of any oil on water spill.

Technical Data

Sorbency: Lower figure test method to BS 7959-1:2004 using SAE10W40 motor oil. Higher figure based on high viscosity liquid with no drain.
