Oil Absorbent Booms Skirted

Our oil absorbent skirted boom has the excellent absorbing characteristics that is manufactured from 100% UV stabilised polypropylene outer and filler. The addition of a weighted polythene skirt helps prevent the boom moving in increased flows.

The traditional rope joins enable sections of the blue oil absorbent boom to be tied together to make make up to any required length. The positive join will not allow the sections of oil boom to drift apart preventing oil from escaping between the lengths of oil boom.

Technical Data

Sorbency: Lower figure test method to BS 7959-1:2004 using SAE10W40 motor oil. Higher figure based on high viscosity liquid with no drain.
