Maintenance Super Absorbent Socks

Our Maintenance Super Absorbent Socks are manufactured from polyester thread that is knitted to enable the sock to stretch as the absorbing material swells. This high capacity absorbent is ideal for diverting or “pooling” spills. They are also useful for placing alongside or around machinery, tanks or drums to prevent any leaks spreading across the floor.

Suitable for most water, oil and solvent based liquids the increased absorbing capacity of this sock is due to the mix of highly absorbent cellulose fibre and super absorbent polymer. As the super absorbent makes contact with the spilt liquid it swells in size enabling more liquid to be absorbed.

This mix gives our maintenance super sock a greater absorbency than standard socks.

The Maintenance Absorbent Socks are colour coded to the BSIF Standards for easy recognition..

Technical Data

Sorbency: Lower figure test method to BS 7959-1:2004 using water. Higher figure based on high viscosity liquid with no drain.
