Description

Granular cork oil absorbent G1025. Absorbs oil, hydrocarbons and solvents without absorbing water. Light and easy to handle. The high absorption capacity reduces the spill disposal elimination costs. The CorkSorb G01006 granules float on water even after saturation.

Instructions of use

• Apply the granules close to the spill (≈10cm ; ≈3.9 in); If there’s wind this distance must be shortened
• Cover the entire Spill with the granules
• Let it act for 1 minute
• Stir the mixture to ensure maximum and efficient absorption
• Clean with a broom or other appropriate material
• Add a hand full of granules (few grams) to the spill scenario to ensure a slip-free pavement 
• Clean with a broom or other appropriate material (you can reuse these granules again)

Disposal Options

Landfill Disposal
CorkSorb has been tested to the USEPA Leachate standards for landfill disposal.

Incineration
When saturated, the special CorkSorb granules have high calorific power and burn to less than 3% ash. These elements makes it ideal to be incinerated.

Alternative Fuel Source
The BTU value of used CorkSorb special granules is very high.

Biodegradation
CorkSorb special cork granules are biologically stable and free of harmful micro-organisms. When they are disposed of, they provide the environment needed for the development of bio-degrading organisms that can oxidize the absorbed hydrocarbons faster than the biodegradation of the special cork granules themselves.
