Building off the industry tested and proven design of the LAKOS JPX Separator, the JSK Separator features an internal 3M™ Scotchkote™ 134 coating. The Scotchkote™ 134 coating makes the wetted surfaces of the Separator resistant to corrosive chemicals, wastewater, sea water, and hydrocarbons. The JSK removes up to 98% of particles 74 microns (2.4 SG) and larger in just a single pass, with minimal water loss and unit maintenance.

3M™ Scotchkote™ Fusion-Bonded Epoxy Coating 134 is a one part, heat curable epoxy coating that can be custom applied to protect metal pipelines (external and internal) and a variety of infrastructure components from corrosion.
Scotchkote™ 134 is resistant to wastewater, corrosive soils, hydrocarbons, harsh chemicals, and sea water. It is commonly used in municipal water projects, protecting potable water infrastructure, sea water intakes, and ancillary equipment protection.

Answer: The JSK Separator takes a standard JPX Separator and builds off the industry proven design, featuring an internal Scotchkote™ 134 coating that is resistant to corrosive chemicals, sea water, and hydrocarbons.
Answer: A JSK Separators internal Scotchkote 134 coating can maintain its NSF-61 rating with temperatures reaching as high as 140°F (60°C) and reaches its maximum operating temperature at 180°F (82°C).

Answer: Flow rate is the most important factor in determining separator size because all LAKOS Separators operate within a prescribed flow range. Pipe size is not a factor in model selection so do not use your existing pipe size to determine the separator size. Required separator size is often, but not always, smaller than the existing piping, and appropriate hardware is used to match the inlet/outlet size with existing piping.
Answer: The LAKOS Separator is capable of working with any liquid that has a viscosity less than 20 mPas. The solids to be separated must also have a specific gravity at least 1.5 greater than the fluid. The greater the specific gravity of the separable solids and the lower the viscosity of the liquid, the better the LAKOS Separator will work. A good rule of thumb: if the solids settle within 3-4 minutes in your liquid, they will likely be separable with a LAKOS Separator.
