1. Absorbs oil and hydrocarbons without absorbing water.
   
2. Uses cork as an absorbent. Cork is a 100% natural product: ecological (natural and renewable) and sustainable (it is the bark of the cork oak tree which is extracted from the tree without damaging it; it promotes forest cleanliness and conservation).
   
3. Each sock absorbs 11.0 l of oil, minimizing costs in sorbents and disposal treatment.
   
4. Designed to prevent static electricity risks (using cork + polypropylene skin with anti-static treatment); suitable for ATEX areas.
   
5. UV resistant.
   
6. CorkSorb is highly resistant to almost all chemical compounds. CorkSorb socks are not suitable for sorption of basic solutions, particularly with a pH level above 13, or in oxidizing environments.
   
7. Flexible and moldable: adapts to corners and places difficult to access.
   
8. Floats on water even after total saturation.
   
9. Comes with strings for easy attachment to other socks (avoiding leakage between socks).
   
10. Can be incinerated.
    
11. United States Environmental Protection Agency considers that the CorkSorb products meet the definition of sorbent as specified in Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), sections 300.5 and 300.915(g) of the US National Contingency Plan (NCP).
