Granular cork absorbent. Absorbs oil, hydrocarbons and solvents without absorbing water. Light and easy to handle. The high absorption capacity reduces the spill disposal elimination costs. The CorkSorb G01006 granules float on water at least 24 hours even after saturation.

1. Absorbs oil, hydrocarbons, fuels, solvents and cleaning agents without absorbing water for a period of at least 24 hours. After that some of the granules may start to sink. If it is required that the saturated absorbent floats for longer periods of time, it is recommended the use of the granules reference G01006.

3. Uses cork as an absorbent. Cork is a 100% natural product: ecological (natural and renewable) and sustainable (it is the bark of the cork oak tree which is extracted from the tree without damaging it; it promotes forest cleanliness and conservation).
4. Each kg of CorkSorb G01006 absorbs 5.2 l of oil, minimizing costs in sorbents and disposal treatment.
5. Cork has good static electricity behavior and is suitable for using in ATEX areas.
6. CorkSorb is highly resistant to almost all chemical compounds. CorkSorb is not suitable for sorption of basic solutions, particularly with a pH level above 13, or in oxidizing environments.
7. Non-abrasive.
8. Can be incinerated.
9. United States Environmental Protection Agency considers that the CorkSorb products meet the definition of sorbent as specified in Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), sections 300.5 and 300.915(g) of the US National Contingency Plan (NCP).
